Norwegian Prune Pudding Recipe


Ingredients for Norwegian Prune Pudding

Prunes – 1 cup
Castor Sugar – 1 cup
 Cold water – 2 cups
Nuts – ½ cup
Cinnamon – 1 tsp
Juice of 1 lemon
Corn flour – 1 tbsp
Salt – 1 pinch
Boiling water – 1 ½ cups
Salt – 1 pinch

Method Preparing Norwegian Pudding

Soak the prunes in cold water for 1 hour. Boil until soft in same water. Stone the prunes, crack the stones and remove the kernels, simmer these with prunes, sugar, cinnamon and salt for 10 minutes in boiling water.
Add littile cold water into the corn flour and make a paste, add to the prunes and stir constantly while cooking for 5 minutes. Add lemon juice and keep in refrigerator. Serve with cream.
