Ingredients for Easter Lamb Pound Cake
All Purpose Flour – 3 cups
Butter – 1 pound
Eggs – 6 [separated]
Sugar – 3 cups
Vanilla Extract – 2 tsp
Almond Extract
Bourbon – 1/3 cup
Chopped Pecans – ½ cup
Method of the Preparation of Easter Pound Lamb Cake
Preheat the oven to 350⁰F
Mix the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until it becomes soft and fluffy.
Add egg yolk one by one and beat well.
Add flour into the sugar mixture and mix gently.
Add vanilla extract, almond extract and bourbon and whisk the mixture till it becomes creamy.
Add 1 cup of sugar into the egg whites and beat till it becomes stiff.
Add egg whites mixture into the flour mixture and add pecans. Mix well.
Pour the batter into lamb shaped pound cake mold and bake the batter for 1 ½ hours.
Allow the cake to cool for 10 --15 minutes.
Decorate with spices and serve.
