Chicken Okra Easter Recipe


Chicken Okra is a popular recipe. It is a  delicious dish. Try to prepare chicken okra in this easy way. 

Ingredients for Chicken Okra

Chicken drum sticks – 8
Olive oil – 2 tbsp
Okra – 1 pound
Garlic flakes – 2
Plum tomato – 1 can
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Red wine – 2 tbsp
Parsley – 1 tsp [chopped]
Onion – 1 [chopped]

Method of the Preparation of Chicken Okra

Season the Chicken drumsticks with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a pan and add the seasoned chicken and fry on low flame until it becomes light brown.
Add chopped garlic flakes and chopped onion and fry for 5 minutes.
Mix in plum tomato, okra and red wine. Stir slowly and add chopped parsley, Pepper and salt.
Cover the pan with a lid and cook until the chicken become tender and soft.
Chicken Okra is ready to serve.

Ingredients for Almond Macaroons

Almond paste – 4 oz
Egg white –1
Sugar – ¼ cup
Lemon rind – ¼ tsp [grated]
Candied cherries [red] – 4 [quartered]
Almond sliced – 1 tbsp
Sugar for topping

Method of the preparation of Almond Macaroons

Greased cookie sheet and sprinkle flour over it. Pre heat oven to325⁰F.
Mix egg white, almond paste and lemon rind well. Add sugar and beat with an electric mixture until you get smooth dough.
Shape the dough into small molds and roll over almonds and cherries.
Place them on greased cookie sheet and bake for twenty minutes or until golden brown.

Turkey Fry Easter Recipe



The idea of Fried Turkey is originated in United States, but it gaining the popularity in worldwide, do not stuff the Turkeys you plan on frying. You should never fry the Turkey indoors. Place the fryer outdoors. Don’t allow the children and pets near the cooking area.  Consume cooked Turkey immediately and store left over in the refrigerator within two hours of cooking.

Ingredients for Turkey Fry

Whole Turkey – 8 pound
Onion –1
Creole seasoning – 1 tbsp
 Peanut oil – 1 gallon

Method of Preparing Turkey Fry

Clean and remove the giblets and neck from the Turkey. Heat oil, in a Turkey fryer  at 200⁰c. Layer a large platter with food safe paper bags.
Rinse the Turkey and drain with a kitchen towel and rub the seasoning inside and outside of the Turkey.
Place the onion and Turkey with neck end in drain basket. Slowly lower the basket in to the hot oil to completely cover the Turkey.
Cook the Turkey for 30 minutes until done. Carefully remove the basket from the oil and drain the Turkey.
And allow to rest for at least 10 minutes. Enjoy your delicious fried Turkey.

Cinnamon Balls Easter Recipe

Cinnamom Balls a tasty treat for Easter. It should be stored in airtight container. They also freeze well.

Ingredients for Cinnamon Balls

Cornflakes crumbs – 2 cups
Soft Butter – 1 cup
Vanilla – 2 tsp
Sugar – ½ cup
Sifted Flour—2cups
Cinnamon – 1 tsp
Walnut or Pecan nuts – 1 cup [chopped]
Caster sugar or Icing Sugar – 1 ½ cups

Method of Preparing Cinnamon Balls

Crush the corn flakes in to crumbs. Blend the butter sugar and vanilla.
Sift flour with Cinnamon. Add the crushed crumbs and pecan nuts to the butter mixture and mix well, as well as the flour mixture. Mix gently and shaping into small balls and placing into greased baking sheets.
Bake at 350⁰F for about half an hour.
Remove when baked and roll immediately in icing or caster sugar.
